The design of the Cookware Handle Burning Resistance Test Apparatus complies with annex F of standard TZS 683:2022, Annex A of standard EN 12983-1: 2023, and ES 573:2021

It uses a standard alcohol lamp, a non-stick pan steel base installation platform, an alcohol lamp moving block, and a wind-proof cabinet. In the wind-proof cabinet, the non-stick pan is first installed on a rigid base. The base is made of 45# electroplating and has a clamp. Can quickly clamp non-stick pans.

Test procedures:

After the alcohol lamp is mounted on a retractable movable block, ignite the alcohol, adjust the flame height to 30mm, press the button once, the alcohol lamp will be automatically moved under the handle, and the timer will start counting. After 30 seconds, the alcohol lamp will be automatically removed from the handle. Watch the handle burn situation until the flame goes out automatically, or when the burning continues for 15 seconds, then press the flame delay timer to stop.

The flammability of the sample is evaluated based on the duration of ignition of the sample and whether the sample ignites after the alcohol lamp is removed. The ignition delay time and the flame delay time are measured by two timers respectively.
